Fierce Cabaret is a initiative by Wotever World, Joey Bambino and BOiBOX to help raise funds for Performer and Drag King Max Ryder & Hugh Johnson.
Max Ryder have been with us many time on our stages and he took part of our Non Binary Cabaret just before he went to USA for his tour.
Join an allstar selection of London’s finest cabaret artists for a night of sensational entertainment and fabulous fundraising in aid of The MaxJohnson Project.
On 23rd November 2018, British Drag King Max Ryder and American Drag King Hugh Johnson were traveling from California to Seattle as part of their US tour. At 7.15 pm, another car crossed the central reservation straight into the vehicle of our beloved Drag brothers. Max and Hugh both suffered severe injuries and are both lucky to be alive, tragically the other driver died. Whilst Max’s travel insurance has paid for some of his medical bills (which are in excess of $34000), Max is now in the care of the NHS in Wales, after having to leave his London home due to his ongoing recovery. Max is self-employed and cannot walk or leave his hospital room without assistance. It is likely he will be hospital bound for a further six months. Anyone self employed can appreciate the constant worry of circumstances changing, leaving someone unable to work, unable to support themselves, having your whole world turned upside down. Hugh Johnson suffered worse injuries due to a previous condition and is still in his home country, piling up medical expenses.
All of the performers at this event have dedicated their time for free to help our brothers. 100% of ticket sales and donations will be divided between Max and Hugh. Join us as our community helps our brothers in need.
