is a visual artist/photographer and Research Fellow in Photography at London College of Communication, University of the Arts London. For 15 years Sara has taken collaborative photographs and recorded oral histories with people from UK trans*/queer communities – her chosen family. Sara’s work is exhibited nationally and internationally including ‘Moving Trans* History Forward’ 2014, Homotopia Arts Festival 2013, Schwules Museum Berlin 2012, Somatechnics Sydney 2009, Transfabulous 2007. Her publications include journal articles, book chapters and a monograph ‘Crossing the Line’. Sara has received numerous awards for her photography including Arts and Humanities Research Council awards, Wellcome Trust funding and a Fulbright Hays Scholarship. Article in Guardian about Sara
