21106656_10155272955998393_6178518199349287657_nWORKSHOP, 3 – 5

On the 14th October Wotever World will return to Brighton for one day of mega events! To start the day, FKA, Ingo, Lysander, and Harry from Wotever World, will be running a workshop for those who are either at the beginning of their stage life or those who have begun their stage life and want to know a little more about advancing it as a career/hobbie. Perhaps you arrive with an act idea already in mind and want to test it out? Maybe you have already taken to the stage a handful of times? Or perhaps you have always wanted to perform but needed that extra push from a group of supportive queers? Either way, this workshop is for YOU!  If you have things to say or show on stage, this workshop can help by providing you with a safer environment for you to test, learn and share material, tips, and talent! This workshop aims to help more LGBTIAQ+ people share their own individual stories, writing, and lip synch on stage, you may then have the possibility to take to the stage later in the evening during our queer variety show!

For just £5 we will cover:

  • Mic Technique
  • Backing Tracks
  • Bringing acts from mind to stage
  • Stage presence
  • Lip Sync technique

After this two hour workshop, you may want to join us the same evening for our 7pm queer variety show! We very much encourage QPOC, Trans, and Older Folk to join us for this mega workshop but all are welcome!

If hanging around and learning from a group of LGBTIAQ+ ICONS sounds like the place for you to spend one Autumn Saturday afternoon on the 14th October, then contact or to book yourself a place for only £5!

With a fresh new show packed with important messages performed by people we love! Tonight, you get a queer variety show full to the brim with power, sass, and determination! Joining us on the line up for this evening with be some of our favourite performers we have worked with over the years PLUS some freshly baked new acts who took part in our ‘Wanna Be on Stage’ workshop earlier in the afternoon.

Our booked lineup includes:

FKA – One of the BEST Non Binary Performer with the biggest heart we have ever found. When they are not DJing around the world on tour, they are performing heartfelt act touching on topics of Mental Health, Domestic Abuse, and the right to be allowed to be yourself! Brighton, you are truly in for a treat with FKA!

Seth Corbin – A queer musician who has played at Bar Wotever and across London before moving down to Brighton to study! We are lucky enough to have him and his guitar join us in Brighton at our Queer Variety show!

Chuck SJ Hay– After writing a song every day for a year, Chuck is now releasing their 50 track album; XII. XII is now ready to tour across the UK and playing extends beyond the contemporary and expected style of an acoustic guitarist! Chuck breaks the boundaries of an acoustic guitar singer songwriter!

Sammy Silver – A drag king who serves sass, sex, and surrealness! Another Bar Wotever favourite who brings queer topics and comedy in their performances! Winner of King of the Fringe in Brighton 2015 and ambassador to one of London’s longest running Drag King Night, BoiBox.

Dee Dee La Femme – Just wow. Dee Dee La Femme sings LIVE while seducing the audience with her movements. Her skill of undressing is phenomenal and once you all witness, you will all agree. There is only one way this can end… we all fall in love with Dee Dee La Femme!

Plus, we will have more performances from our workshop acts!

Prog 3Queer Feminist Porn, 9 – 11

To finish off this queer Saturday of mega events, we will be hosting an evening with London Porn Film Festival! We will be showing a ‘Best Of’ programme with short films from this years London Porn Film Festival! Showing queer feminist porn, short films that matter, and films that engage and are inclusive!

‘We value porn as an art form that is able to question and challenge the power structures that limit our sexual expression. Radical queer porn has not settled as an art form – it straddles the borders of visual art, performance art, erotica, political activism and many other genres – making it a unique vehicle for presenting new and radical ideas of sexuality.’

This is Fun, Fabulous, and Frisky as FUCK, created for and created by LGBTIAQ+ people!

No entry after programme started!
