Non Binary Cabaret at Ovalhouse Theatre!

On 10th November 2017 at The Oval House Theatre, London, Wotever World presents An Evening of Non Binary Cabaret. We welcome you into our cosy theatre space to experience the electric vibes that is non binary cabaret. Prepare to be entertained, educated, and energised as we take you on a living history journey.  Non Binary Cabaret is a place for for our performers to tell their individual stories,a place for sharing, and a place to feel connected to others.  Stories Shared, Verbal and nonverbal all held together with the fire and notion that we are HERE & NOW and we are counted!

Iron and Sparks will be performing a saucy dance number,  Lysander and Rae will be providing you with a steamy queer tango, cabaret powerhouse FKA will be bringing you a gorgeous drag piece, drag artist Chiyo Gomes will be bringing you Porn and Politics and so many more performers will be embracing the stage! You can expect to learn so much from these performers.

So why do we bring Non Binary Cabaret into a theatre space?

Many express and share the feeling of being more able to be oneself ON STAGE than off, as with the mic in hand, the lights towards you – ‘You Rule’ you can say what you need to say without explaining anything and you can share your message without anyone questioning you, as it’s YOUR Story, idea, truth. In seeing a performer sharing their story honestly, our audience automatically respond in a way of seeing, as in Yes I see you and yes I know what you talk about/ I’ve been there/ I learn from you.

Come along on the 10th November to witness Living Queer History, be part of the revolution!

Wanna Be On Stage Workshop!

Wotever World is returning to Brighton to bring you an afternoon and evening of queer events. We will be hosting a workshop for budding performers and those who wish to learn a little more about creating atcs etc. We will then be showing an evening of queer variety acts in the theatre upstairs with an incredible line up! We will also be bringing a selection of ‘Best Of’ from the London Porn Film Festival!

Where: Upstairs at The Marlborough Pub and Theatre

Date: 14th October

unnamed

On the 14th October Wotever World will return to Brighton for one day of mega events! To start the day, FKA, Ingo, Lysander, and Harry from Wotever World, will be running a workshop for those who are either at the beginning of their stage life or those who have begun their stage life and want to know a little more about advancing it as a career/hobbie. Perhaps you arrive with an act idea already in mind and want to test it out? Maybe you have already taken to the stage a handful of times? Or perhaps you have always wanted to perform but needed that extra push from a group of supportive queers? Either way, this workshop is for YOU!  If you have things to say or show on stage, this workshop can help by providing you with a safer environment for you to test, learn and share material, tips, and talent! This workshop aims to help more LGBTIAQ+ people share their own individual stories, writing, and lip synch on stage, you may then have the possibility to take to the stage later in the evening during our queer variety show!

For just £5 we will cover:

  • Mic Technique
  • Backing Tracks
  • Bringing acts from mind to stage
  • Stage presence
  • Lip Sync technique

After this two hour workshop, you may want to join us the same evening for our 7pm queer variety show! We very much encourage QPOC, Trans, and Older Folk to join us for this mega workshop but all are welcome!

If hanging around and learning from a group of LGBTIAQ+ ICONS sounds like the place for you to spend one Autumn Saturday afternoon on the 14th October, then contact woteverworld@gmail.comor woteverworldbiz@gmail.com to book yourself a place for only £5!
