Faarea ‘I am a broadcast journalist by day (ex-BBC, currently Al-Jazeera) and by night I am a scene queen and armchair philosopher. While I enjoy being a gay Muslim Brit-Bangladeshi-Yemeni Londoner via the Midlands, I am embarrassed by how socially inept I am as a result of so much identity conflict.’
