Welcome to Spa Wotever!
As we know, many of us Queers are stressed out, just by living, being activists, surviving and making ends meet. We fight for our own survival, education, income, health, as well as trying to change the world to a better place for all human beings. This is hard stressfull work, and sometimes if feels good to be a little bit pampered…. so, welcome to:
SPA WOTEVER!
Last night at Bar Wotever it felt like a proper Spa Wotever, a bit of pampering in form of Hair cuts and/or Massage could be had.
MASSAGE
Our longstanding masseaus Sherie with her magic hands offered a good 15 minutes massage for a fiver. It feels like heaven being under her competent hands and many of us have had knots sorted out by her.
QUEER HAIR
Have you ever been to a Barber/Hairdresser and felt like they ‘push’ their gender idea on to your hair? Having to do small talk with assumption on who you are, who you date, what you do for a living? ….. Many times in that barber chair can be mental pain just to have your hair done…
Last Night we introduced our Queer Hairdressers to Bar Wotever, they have very successfully done Queer Fayre and House of Stars in the past, and they are totally recommended for a trim and/or totally new style. And, the small talk with them are also more interesting I think… They do your hair for £2-£5 (more if you want/can) or swapping things or skills.
So, check them out next time they are a Bar Wotever! Queer Hair are at Bar Wotever now and then…
Most these Spa things are happening from 7pm, so be early if you are in need of pampering….
Bette Bourne this way!
We talked about Bette and the up and coming film about him and his life. The production team from the film was there to pimp the fundraising out, and we talked about how hard it is to raise money for queer stuff. We all want our history to be shown and remembered, but we have no money to pay, but we have kisses and love, so we all got filmed when we blew a kiss to Bette. Hopefullt that helped a bit

Music is important and last night we were in good hands with great tunes from newbie DJ Hannah Dixon who did brilliantly and later our all time favorit DJ Doctor, Dr Kemp played his tunes for us alongside the contemporary and vintage dance films Ingo had put together.
We chatted and celebrated birthdays, we made new friends and introduced our exes to our new lovers, we made plans of future collaborations and possible houseshares, we learnt from the people who have already gone through with it….
Bar Wotever was filled with love and wellbeing.
